How to Display Wood Yard Art Outdoors or Indoors
Different projects call for different methods of support, depending on it's size and the location you choose to display it. Some, thanks to design will be self-supporting. Some can simply be secured with wood screws or small nails directly to a fence, a post or building. Some, like Lazy Larry frog shown below may call for simple braces to sit on a shelf. Those that you'll want to proudly display in the yard will call for some form of staking in the ground for stable support.
Optional Yard Stakes & Clamps
Photo The Winfield Collection
You can purchase steel and fiberglass rods that attach to the backside of your projects (using matching clamps), direct from The Winfield Collection in adequate, pre-cut lengths. Or, you can get them at your local home center in standard 3' lengths that you can cut in half with a hacksaw.
Admittedly, I've not tried these clamps from Winfield, but have used several similar types from the home centers that just didn't hold up well from season to season.
